Corona cases are increasing rapidly around the world. So far more than 20 thousand people have died due to this virus which has taken the form of an epidemic. At the same time, more than 4.5 lakh people have fallen prey to it. Considering its danger in India, it has been completely locked down for 21 days. The most damage has been done in Italy where more than 7000 people have died.
At that time an international team of scientists has warned India that by the middle of May, the number of confirmed cases of corona virus infection can range from one lakh to 1.3 million in India.
The report ‘COV-IND-19’ prepared by a team of researchers says that India has been more successful in controlling positive cases than the US and Italy in the initial phase of the epidemic. But, one important thing has been missed in this assessment and that is the number of truly affected cases of this virus.

The team of scientists includes scientists from Delhi School of Economics, New Delhi and the University of Michigan, USA. According to them, it depends on the scope of the investigation, the accuracy of the results of the investigation and the investigation of those people who do not show any symptoms of infection of corona virus.
According to the report, the number of people investigated in India is comparatively very less till now. In the absence of a comprehensive investigation, it is impossible to prevent infection at the community level. This means that we cannot assess the number of infected persons outside hospitals and health facilities.
Referring to World Bank data, they said that India has only 0.7 beds per 1000 people, while in France it is 6.5, South Korea is 11.5, China 4.2, Italy 3.4 and the US 2.8.
They warned that severely infected people (about five -10 percent of the infected) will need ICU beds.
According to the data of the Ministry of Health, the number of cases of infection with Corona virus in India has increased to 606 while 11 people have died till now.
